I spent many days on this battlefield called life
Gave birth to four soldiers lost two and yet I still continued to fight
And when my body of armor started to fall, I held on with all of my might
Until one day I received this command from our Lord
And His voice I couldn’t ignore
Lay down your shield, your job is done
There’s no need to fight anymore
I have prepared a place for you
So please, put your burdens down
You are now set free
You have earned your wings
And your heavenly crown
My children, please don’t fret for me
As I am now in God’s loving care
And although you cannot see me
I will always be with you
Search your heart and you’ll find me there

Dear Chester family, please accept my deepest sympathies. I am very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death can leave us with feelings of sorrow and grief. But there is a beautiful hope we can look forward to. Isaiah 25:8 says, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” So not only will Almighty God eliminate death, but he will remove the feelings of sadness that come from losing someone we love, and replace those feelings with comfort and hope.

The death of a loved one is the most devastating experience a family can face. At times, the pain of the loss will seem unbearable. Please know that there are friends who care about you and your family during this difficult time and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that “God is near to those that are broken at heart. We pray that Jehovah the God of all comfort is with your family during this difficult time of grief. Questions will come up about why do we suffer and die?
